MEET THE TEAM

Lisa Yao, BSc, RDH

My name is Lisa. I am a registered dental hygienist who is passionate about my career. I have been working at Brintnell Dental for over a year. In order to provide my patients with the highest level of care in hygiene, I completed additional training and received my Bachelor of Science specializing in dental hygiene from the University of Alberta.  Before that, I obtained my hygiene diploma from a Toronto dental academy in 2012.

As a health professional, I recognize the importance of oral health, and my priority is to provide comprehensive care that is tailored to the need of each individual.
I love being a dental hygienist and building long-term relationships with patients. Most importantly, I love my Brintnell team!
When not working, I love to eat. I am a total foodie! I also like to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Dr. Michale Leeson, DDS

My name is Michael and I’ve been a part of the CORE Dental Group working at Brintnell Dental since June 2015. I grew up in Hamilton, Ontario and completed my schooling in Ontario as well. During university I spent a summer vacation working at the Banff Springs Golf Course. Growing up I spent a lot of time outdoors, and after a summer in the Rockies I knew when I finished my degree I would come back to Alberta. During my undergraduate degree I decided that I wanted to go into healthcare.
I was torn between medicine and dentistry. A group of dentists that my grandpa used to guide at a remote fly-in fishing lodge in Northern Ontario found out I was thinking of going into dentistry and let me shadow them in their offices. Spending time with them convinced me that dentistry was the right fit for me, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it so far.
I strive to take the time to explain everything to my patients and answer any questions they have about their mouths. I worked in a couple of offices before Brintnell and can honestly say Brintnell has the best team environment I’ve experienced. Everyone helps to make sure each and every patient gets the best treatment while having the most comfortable experience possible.

Dr. Aman Lotey , DDS

“Let your smile change the world, but don’t let the world change your smile” Hi! My name is Aman. I’ve been with Brintnell Dental since the very beginning in Late 2014 and with the wonderful people at CORE Dental Group for 2 years now. I was born and raised in North Edmonton and proudly had the opportunity to complete both my medical science and dental degrees at the University of Alberta. My favorite thing about working at Brintnell Dental is interacting with everyone from the community I was raised in.
It is so great not only seeing familiar faces but meeting new ones and learning about how our paths have crossed in the past, or about our experiences in the area. I also love working with the great team we have here, it is an absolute pleasure going in everyday! I have always liked working with my hands. Whether it was fixing cars at a young age or doing any kind of renovations I could, I was always getting my hands dirty. While in school, I knew I wanted to be in healthcare and genuinely make an impact but also didn’t want to lose what I grew up loving. Dentistry has been the perfect balance, allowing me to help patients achieve their dental goals and the creating the smiles they deserve while still getting to use the skills I’ve developed. Outside of work, I still love working on cars when I have time. As an avid oilers fan (unfortunately at times), I enjoy watching games with my friends and family.
I play a few different sports casually but my passion lies in ball hockey, which I try to play as often as I can. I hope in the future to spend more time traveling outside of Canada. I would love to travel throughout Europe or do a road trip down the west coast down to LA. Next on my list though is Chicago.
As a huge music fan, I cannot wait to experience the culture and music scene down there.
